- The first file storage testnet on XRP Ledger may launch in two months.
- The system will notarize documents on-chain with legal validation tools.
A new startup building on the XRP Ledger is preparing to introduce a testnet for decentralized file storage in the next two months. The initiative focuses on notarizing documents through blockchain, allowing enterprises and law firms to secure verifiable records directly on the network.
Testnet to provide notarized document storage and validation
The project is led by developer Vincent Van Code, who confirmed that the service will enable users to upload documents, hash them, and register these hashes on the XRP Ledger.
This process provides proof that a document existed at a certain point in time, backed by a cryptographic signing system for multiple parties. The platform will also include bundled legal documents and affidavits, designed to make the notarized files admissible as evidence in court.
Initially, the platform is expected to serve companies and legal practices that require proof of record authenticity. Over time, it aims to expand into a broader range of use cases including medical records, tax receipts, and contractual agreements.
The multi-tiered system ranges from a free entry-level tier to advanced tiers that require identity verification for signatories.
I am working on a new startup that will bring notarized documents to the XRPL.
Basically, you have a document you want an official record to say existed at a point in time.

XRPL integration with multi-tiered legal and corporate use cases
The service will leverage the speed and low transaction costs of the XRP Ledger to store document hashes and manage validation. By combining on-chain notarization with external legal documentation, the platform intends to address both technical and regulatory requirements.
Enterprises will have access to cryptographic signing features that enable multiple parties to verify a file’s authenticity. The highest tier of the system will include know-your-customer (KYC) compliance for verified signatories, aligning with corporate governance standards.
The anticipated launch of the testnet marks one of the first attempts to integrate structured legal workflows into the XRP Ledger’s infrastructure. If successful, the system could position XRPL as a platform not only for payments and tokenization but also for enterprise-grade document management.
At the time of this update, XRP is trading at $2.91 USD, reflecting a $0.05 drop (−1.69 %) from its previous close.
