- EVearn on VeChain now connects to Groncard so Better tokens can buy gift cards.
- Only Tesla is supported and some cards include cashback on tokens spent.
EVearn, a rewards app built on VeChain, has connected its Better token to voucher platform Groncard to let drivers spend charging rewards on retailer gift cards.
EVearn users can redeem Better tokens for retailer gift cards
The update enables drivers to turn kilowatt hours charged into Better and allocate those balances to digital gift cards. Users link the EVearn wallet to Groncard through a login and email verification flow. After permissions are granted, balances locked in the app’s lock and earn function can be released and directed to a chosen voucher.
Groncard lists gift cards that work online and in physical stores across large retailers. Examples include Amazon, Ikea, Carrefour, MediaWorld, Netflix, Spotify, Xbox and Google Play. Buyers select denominations such as ten or twenty euros.

A code is delivered by email and can be applied at checkout or presented at the point of sale. Some cards display a cashback rate in Better on the spend. A demonstration references a rate of fifteen percent on certain options, which returns a portion of tokens after purchase.
Current scope limits support to Tesla while expanding everyday utility
EVearn currently supports Tesla vehicles for automated accrual. Once a car is connected in the app, each kilowatt hour charged maps to a corresponding issuance of Better. The Groncard connection converts those balances into fixed value vouchers, which ties the reward to a face value rather than to market pricing.
The workflow follows a familiar loyalty sequence. A driver signs up for EVearn and links a Tesla. Charging activity generates a Better balance that can be claimed inside the app. The user authorises the EVearn wallet to interface with Groncard.
They then pick a retailer, choose a denomination and confirm the spend. The voucher code arrives by email and is redeemable immediately. The process can be repeated in small amounts to match routine purchases.
VeChain provides the underlying ledger for issuance and spend tracking. Public chain settlement and enterprise tooling can support audit trails for rewards linked to physical energy input.
That structure aligns accrual with verifiable charging data and gives partners a consistent record of token movements. As Groncard updates its catalogue, the list of supported brands and any cashback rates will reflect the platform’s availability.
EVearn indicates that its priority is to translate measured charging into a spendable balance that works across mainstream retail without requiring users to manage exchange exposure.
At the time of press, the price of VeChain (VET) stands at exactly 0.02474679 USD. It has moved +2.08%, or precisely +0.00050 USD, compared to the previous closing price.
