Pi Network has announced a Linux Node release alongside a scheduled upgrade of its consensus protocol to version 23, coinciding with the start of trading for Valour’s SEK-denominated Pi exchange-traded product on Sweden’s Spotlight Stock Market.
Pi Network schedules phased transition to version 23 and releases Linux Node
The protocol change advances Pi from version 19 to version 23, which is built on an adaptation of Stellar protocol v23. Testnet1 upgrades begin this week and will be followed by Testnet2 and then Mainnet as the rollout proceeds.
Pi cautioned that brief, planned outages may occur during the upgrade windows and that partners could temporarily limit availability while processing changes.

Concurrently, Pi introduced an official Linux Node package, extending support beyond Mac and Windows to the operating system most used by infrastructure providers.
Operators can self-manage updates or enable automatic updates from Pi, replacing reliance on custom builds and giving exchanges and service providers a standardized software path. The project framed the release as an infrastructure step that broadens participation for technically capable users and developers.
The upgrade also embeds identity verification at the protocol layer and allows KYC authority to be delegated to trusted entities.
Pi says the change preserves compliance while distributing verification workflows across the ecosystem. The team cited a base of millions of already verified accounts and positioned the move within a wider industry trend toward identity-aware token standards.

Valour, a subsidiary of DeFi Technologies, listed eight new SEK-denominated digital-asset ETPs in Stockholm, including Valour Pi (PI). The Pi product carries ISIN CH1108681540 and a management fee of 1.9 percent.
Valour said the additions expand regulated, exchange-traded access for Nordic investors and bring its total lineup to more than 85 ETPs across European venues. The listing provides a brokerage-account channel to PI exposure that does not require direct custody of the token.

Valour’s Spotlight expansion complements its presence on other European exchanges and aligns with the firm’s strategy to curate products spanning layer-1 and layer-2 infrastructure, modular data availability, and ecosystem tokens.
The timing places a capital-markets milestone next to Pi’s network-level changes. The standardized Linux Node and staged upgrade roadmap give exchanges and data providers clearer integration points, while the Spotlight listing introduces a price discovery venue within the Nordic ETP market.
Market participants will watch testnet progress and any service notices around the upgrade windows as infrastructure and product plumbing move in tandem.
At the time of writing, Pi Network (PI) is trading at exactly $0.347865 USD, reflecting an intraday gain of $0.00714, or +2.10 percent, compared with the previous close. The token has fluctuated within a daily range of $0.33982 (low) to $0.36620 (high).
